This is an official product of the Japan Sumo Association: a pure gold koban coin commemorating the winner of the Reiwa 8th (2026) May Tournament.
This special pure gold koban coin will be produced in commemoration of the sumo wrestler who wins the Reiwa 8th (2026) May Tournament.
The champion's ring name will be inscribed in sumo-ji calligraphy on the front.
Manufactured by Tokuriki Honten, a long-established company founded in Kyoho 12 (1727).
Each coin is carefully finished by artisans using the traditional "hera-gake" technique, passed down since the Edo period.
A special pure gold koban coin commemorating a historic championship.
It will be carefully delivered in a paulownia wood box.
